Tax changes have arrived!

Tax changes have arrived! Beginning Tuesday, September 12, 2017, you will no longer include taxes in TEMPOE lease transactions.

 

What changes will I see in PULSE?

When entering items into the cart you are required to choose a drop down from the Tax Category to identify each item as Taxable or Non-Taxable.

You may also include a Tax Quote and a State and Local fee Quote, if applicable.

 

Do I include taxes when I submit funding in PayPULSE?

No. Only submit the amount of the lease otherwise, funding will be delayed.

 

Keep an eye out in your email for your Resale Certificate and refer to the Training section of PULSE for Dealer Tax FAQs for additional information.

Changes for Taxes Coming Soon

Coming Soon! TEMPOE will be changing the way taxes are applied to leases. We anticipate the change will take affect somewhere between September 1, 2017 and September 30, 2017.

The change will align TEMPOE with the common tax collection practice utilized in today’s marketplace. It also allows the retailer to increase sales by utilizing 100% of the approval amount for merchandise—rather than a part of it being used for the taxes on the sale.

You will be receiving a call from a TEMPOE Sales Support Team Member explaining the details of the change. In addition, you will also be receiving an email outlining the details and what to expect next. Stay tuned for more information soon!!

Important System Enhancement: CVV Security

As TEMPOE looks to strengthen the security of customer information, we will be implementing the need to enter a CVV number when a customer uses any card for his or her first or ongoing form of payment. A 3-digit number on the back of your card near your signature.

American Express
A 4 digit number on the front, right-hand side of your card that is printed above your card number.

TEMPOE Retailers Can Now Earn $100 For Every Referral

Right now, TEMPOE retailers can start earning big rewards by simply referring their friends.

Retailers have already seen how TEMPOE can impact sales, and now they can earn money for sharing the news.

Prepare your retail associates for the holidays with training webinars

When retailers choose to offer the TEMPOE program, the process doesn’t have to be confusing for store associates or for customers. This is why TEMPOE has planned several holiday training sessions this November.

TEMPOE plans to help and prepare associates by providing tips on how to qualify customers, suggesting easy ways to present the program and giving simple answers on how to overcome objections.

We encourage all members of retail staff to attend! However, we understand that an entire team cannot be off the floor at one time, so we have scheduled multiple times from which retailers may choose.
